A project is underway to retrofit overcrowded, degraded buildings in a British Columbia (B.C.) First Nations community. It's no secret that aboriginal people are grossly overrepresented in Canada's prisons. For many years aboriginals have been imprisoned at many times the rate of non-aboriginals, and despite the attention this subject has received, the situation is not improving.
